ENGLISH DEPARTMENT STUDENT ASSOCIATION (EDSA) STKIP DAMPAL SELATAN MENGADAKAN LOMBA PIDATO BAHASA INGGRIS ANTAR SMA

English Department Student Association (EDSA)  STKIP Dampal Selatan kembali mengukir prestasi dengan menyelenggarakan Lomba Pidato Bahasa Inggris antar SMA, SMK, dan MA se Kecamatan Sojol Utara, Dampal Selatan, Dampal Utara, dan Kecamatan Dondo Kabupaten Tolitoli Sulawesi Tengah. Acara tersebut diadakan pada hari Sabtu, 20 Januari 2019.

Lomba Pidato bahasa Inggris ini mengangkat Tema “Character Education: Problems and Solutions”  Peserta berasal dari SMA, SMK, dan MA Negeri maupun swasta yang berada di Wilayah Kabupaten Tolitoli.

Bertindak  sebagai Juri, yaitu Nina Arfiana, S.Pd, M.Pd dan Fatima, SS, M.Pd, yang keduanya Dosen Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris STKIP Dampal Selatan. 

Pimpinan Yayasan Pendidikan Abdul Mujib Laewang Mewakili Ketua STKIP Dampal Selatan mengatakan dalam sambutannya bahwa Masuknya Era Revolusi Industri 4.0 saat ini merupakan tantangan besar bagi perguruan tinggi. Menyikapi tantangan itu, EDSA Prodi Bhs Inggris STKIP Dampal Selatan bersiap hadapi era Revolusi Industri 4.0 dengan menggelar lomba pidato bhs Inggris tingkat SMA.  Tujuannya agar lembaga pendidikan harus mampu menghasilkan lulusan yg berkarakter dan kemampuan dlm pengusaan bhs Inggris.

Selanjutnya juga dikatakan Sambutannya (Rus’an, M.Pd), bahwa kegiatan ini yang melibatkan murid SLTA dinilai sangat strategis, serta memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap perkembangan STKIP Dampal Selatan, Khususnya dalam memperkenalkan dan mensosialisasikan keberadaan STKIP Dampal Selatan sebagai Perguruan Tinggi Pertama dan satu-satunya di Sulawesi Tengah. Ini merupakan peluang bagi tamatan SMA, SMK, dan MA untuk melanjutkan studinya ke STKIP Dampal Selatan.

Akhirnya, dewan juri memutuskan peserta yang berhasil menjadi juara, adalah:

  1. Juara 1 : Mardin (SMA Negeri 1 Dampal Selatan)
  2. Juara 2 : Maslinda (SMK Negeri 1 Ogoamas Sojol Utara)
  3. Juara 3 : Rismawati (SMK Negeri 1 Dampal Selatan)
