Soni, 17 Februari 2019 – Mahasiswa STKIP Dampal Selatan kembali menggelar pemilihan Presiden dan Wakil Presiden Mahasiswa (PRESMA) setelah masa Kepemimpinan Elza Atika (ketua BEM) Periode 2018-2019 berakhir. Pemilihan PRESMA kali ini diadakan dengan sistem pemilihan langsung dengan mendatangi tempat pemungutan suara. Suasana Pemilihan PRESMA berlangsung aman dan tertib, dan sangat demokratis.
Kali ini ada dua pasang calon, yaitu No Urut 1 adalah Syarif Hidayat dari Prodi Pendidikan Matematika yang berpasangan dengan Herawati dari Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris. Sedangkan No Urut 2 adalah Gustawan dari Prodi Pend Bhs Inggris berpasangan dengan Randy dari Prodi PPKn. Kedua pasangan calon Presma ini mendapat dukungan yang sama kuat, walaupun pada akhir perhitungan suara dimenangkan oleh no urut 2.
Ditempat terpisah Ketua Yayasan Pendidikan Abdul Mujib Laewang (Rus’an) berpesan bahwa PRESMA yang terpilih bisa meraih prestasi, yang solid, dan dapat memberikan konstribusi terhadap kemajuan STKIP Dampal Selatan.
